As the central business of IDS, our property management services focus on a single objective – retaining tenants. The simple reason for this is that we appreciate the difficulties, time and expense involved in attracting those most appropriate for a property.
Once an initial lease is earned, all our efforts are directed to ensuring that it is for the long-term. To this end, all the IDS property management checklists, plans, budgets, inspections, audits and surveys have been developed to focus on tenant retention.
As an IREM Accredited Management Organization, the best practices we have cultivated are applied to all properties under our management. This attention to detail allows IDS-managed properties to provide the lowest insurance loss ratios and, therefore, the lowest premium rates in the industry.
The measure of our success is clearly evident. In a portfolio of over 20 million square feet, with over 1,000 tenants, our occupancy figures are in excess of 95%.
