Salim Adaya, Chairperson
Mr. Adaya joined IDS as a non-executive chairperson of the board during 2004.  He has a long history as an investor and owner of over 2 million square feet of commercial properties throughout the United States.  In addition to his real estate portfolio, Mr. Adaya owns and operates various consumer product and textile companies in Asia. Mr. Adaya attended Saint Patrick School and the Institute of Business Administration. 


Hayden C. Eaves III, Director
Mr. Eaves joined IDS over a decade ago with more than 30 years of impressive experience in the real estate industry.  Mr. Eaves manages institutional joint venture partners, investigates and develops strategic initiatives.


During his 23 year career at Trammell Crow Company (“TCC”), Mr. Eaves served as President and CEO of TCC’s Western Region, directing the management of a 53 million square foot portfolio and developing over 15 million square feet of projects. He was also a member of TCC’s National Management Board and Operating Committee.

Mr. Eaves has a long record of active volunteer and professional leadership. He is a former Chairman of Junior Achievement of Southern California. He has also served on the boards of the Pasadena Assistance League and Boy Scouts of America, Los Angeles Area Council. He is currently a board member of St. Francis High School in La Canada and EastGroup Properties in Jackson, Mississippi.


Douglas W. Haney, Director
Mr. Haney joined IDS in 2008. He is responsible for advising the firm’s Investment Committee on feasibility, equity, debt and valuation. Mr. Haney has been a leading appraiser of commercial property nationally for over three decades and had served as president of CB Richard Ellis’s Valuation & Advisory Services Division for over 16 years. Haney joined CBRE as a staff appraiser in 1973 and was eventually named head of the entire appraisal services division. While overseeing CBRE’s appraisal division, Mr. Haney was responsible for increasing the valuation business nationally from 11 to 65 offices, and increasing gross revenue from $11 million to $155 million.


Mr. Haney is a graduate of California State College at Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Science degree in Real Estate.  He is a designated member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI) and is a Certified General Appraiser in the State of California.
